AC&E Ltd awarded the contract to convert a flat bottomed aeration tank to a conical bottomed Final Settlement Tank. This section of work was on the Critical Path for the project and AC&E Ltd completed the work within programme. Project had to respect interfaces with other M&E services and day to day operations in the sewerage treatment works. Conversion of the flat bottomed tank required complex formwork & shuttering and the effective reuse of coping shutters to meet the programme. A high quality finish was required on running ring (coping) to provide mechanical stability for the bridge scraper.
