AC&E Ltd awarded the contract to construct a new sludge tank base at Southern Water Northfleet Works. Project had to respect interfaces with other M&E services and day to day operations in the sewerage treatment works. Project delivery depended on complex radius formwork with a rebate to locate the glass lined tank. Construction of the rebate with the tank slab in a single pour was critical to achieve the mechanical strength required in the base slab.
